Introducing Corbin Russwin's Next-Gen PED4000/PED5000 Exit Devices
Built for strength and durability, learn more about Corbin Russwin’s ED4000/PED5000 Series.
Corbin Russwin's PED4000 and PED5000 Series are the latest generation of commercial exit devices, designed for environments that demand reliability while keeping a refined appearance. Discover both series available on SECLOCK.com.
PED4000 vs. PED5000: Understanding the Difference
The primary difference between the two series is that the PED4000 Series is a narrow-stile exit device, while the PED5000 Series is a wide-stile exit device. Available in rim, mortise, surface, and concealed vertical rod configurations, both series deliver unmatched performance and surpass ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 requirements.
Key Features
These devices include minimized catchpoints to reduce snagging in high-traffic areas, reinforced end caps for long-term durability, and a trim status indicator on rim models that provides a quick visual read on the trim's locked or unlocked state.
Electrical options, including Motorized Electric Latch Retraction (MELR), door position switches, and request-to-exit, are wired through the carrier inside the rail, eliminating the need to drill cavities into the door and making installation and future service work more straightforward. An integrated alarm option (M61) is also available for doors where unauthorized use is a concern, such as rooftop access or rear exterior egress.
Finish and Configuration Options
Both wide-stile and narrow-stile configurations are offered across a broad range of finishes. Wide-stile devices are compatible with integrated card readers; narrow-stile devices support electromechanical options but not integrated readers. Vertical rod models can be specified in door height ranges from 35" to 48" in 1/4" increments based on the actual finished floor (AFF) measurement.
