Floor-Concealed Door Control With dormakaba’s BTS80 Series
Compact Grade 1 closers that control interior and exterior doors weighing up to 660 pounds, with a UL-listed option for fire-rated openings.
The BTS80 Series floor-concealed door closers from dormakaba use a cam-and-roller mechanism to control interior and exterior doors weighing up to 660 pounds. The closers accommodate doors up to 54 inches wide on interior openings and 48 inches on exterior openings. The BTS80 Series is certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1.
A compact 2-3/8-inch-deep cement case allows installation in thin slab concrete, and field-interchangeable spindles provide bottom door clearances from 5/16 inch to 2-5/16 inches to suit various floor coverings and thresholds.
The standard BTS80 is non-handed for single- and double-acting doors and offers selectable delayed action, multipoint hold-open between approximately 75 and 175 degrees, and mechanical backcheck on spring sizes 4 and 6. Dual thermostatic control valves provide controlled closing even in cold temperatures. A pressure relief valve protects the closer from damage caused by forced closing.
For fire-rated openings, the UL-listed BTS80 F is single-acting and provides controlled closing from a full 180 degrees.
