dormakaba Introduces E-Plex 7900 Gen 2 Series Electronic Locks

dormakaba has introduced the E-Plex 7900 Gen 2 Series electronic lock, delivering enhanced connectivity and expanded integration options to help simplify access management. Built on a new API-enabled platform, the redesigned architecture allows for broader integration with access control and property management systems.

The E-Plex 7900 Gen 2 Series is available in two configurations: Partner Integrations and Keyscan Integrations. Both use the E792 part numbers along with updated M-Unit and Gateway components, and both support Conekt DESFire EV2 credentials through a new reader platform covering the full range of HID technology, from iClass Classic to SE to SEOS.

E-Plex 7900 for Partner Integrations offers Hartmann and Imron integrations, with additional partner integrations coming soon. E-Plex 7900 for Keyscan Integrations offers enhanced Keyscan compatibility built on the Gen 2 architecture.

dormakaba’s E-Plex 7900 Gen 2 Series combines standalone lock reliability with wireless electronic access, making it suited for commercial, education, healthcare, multi-family, and government facilities.
